Idaho Enhanced Concealed Carry Class

Idaho Enhanced Concealed License Classes at The Academy are conducted by certified and experienced instructors. The Idaho Sheriff’s Association has approved the content of the class. The Academy’s instructors use United States Concealed Carry Association’s (USCCA) firearms education and training programs. Please review the Course Contents. Following comprehensive classroom presentations, we move to the range for live-fire training. We emphasize safety and enforce the Range Rules during all training phases. Participants must not be a prohibited person as described on ATF Form 4473 and must sign a Release and Waiver. Review our 2016 Training Schedule and pick a convenient class date. You can REGISTER for a class HERE, or call our registration office, 208-401-9300. Tuition is $150 per participant paid when you reserve your spot. Training dates may change depending on weather and other unanticipated circumstances.

After you register, we will send you an email with the location of the classroom and the range where we will conduct live-fire training. We will provide you with a map and driving directions to the range.

Class start promptly at 8:00 a.m. Please arrive no later than 7:45 a.m., so you can complete paperwork before class starts. You cannot take the class if you arrive later than 8:15 a.m. We have a full education and training schedule. So, we have to keep on schedule to meet the Idaho statute.

Classes adjourn at approximately 1:00 p.m. and we will continue hands-on training and live-fire at the range starting not later than 2:00 p.m. Shooters who arrive first will be set in the first rotation. We usually have between 20 and 24 shooters. We will rotate shooter groups through the required course of fire. Our firearms instructors will provide you with individual coaching.

You will need eye and ear protection and a hat. You will also need a CLEAN AND FUNCTIONAL pistol with all factory-installed safety devices intact, and have no modifications, such as a “hair” trigger of less than 4 pounds for double action (DA) pistols. You will also need at least 100 rounds of NEW ammunition of the correct caliber in the original boxes. Bring a lunch, plenty of water, and a snack. You may not have time to stop for lunch.

We’re looking forward to meeting and training with you. We’ll all have a very informative, exciting and safe time. We emphasize SAFETY at the range and will provide you with a copy of the Range Safety Rules we must strictly enforce to keep us all safe.
